Reading Sessions

Li, Li, Li! teams of readers read storybooks out loud in Creole at 25 tent/tarp camps per week in Leogane, Carrefour, Tabarre, Cite Soleil, St. Mary mountain in CanapeVert, Juvenat, Delmas, Pernier, Santo, Port-au-Prince, Fontamara, Croix-des-Bouquets, and other neighbhorhoods and towns affected by the January 12, 2010 earthquake.  We read to more than 3,000 children per month.

Since a cholera epidemic began in October in Haiti, following each reading session we talk to the children about to how prevent and seek treatment for cholera, a deadly disease that is preventable and treatable, and hand out a child-directed flyer created by Li, Li, Li!.
